Like all new technology, social media changes fast. Very fast. Just trying to keep your head around all of the different platforms, how to approach them and, of course, how to design for them can be a full time job. It would be nice if all of the platforms used the exact same dimensions and you could just swap photos between them all so that your brand has a nice consistent look across the board.

Unfortunately, this is not the case. Social media has proven itself as a crucial component of a brand's marketing mix, but with the many different platforms, it can be very difficult to put forth a consistent brand image online.

For that reason, we put together 'The Ridiculously Exhausitive Social Media Design Blueprint'. It features all of the major design dimensions for all of the major platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIN, YouTube, Pinterest and the most recent entry, Instagram.

Bookmark this page, download it and share it on your own blog, give it to your designer, agency or whoever is involved in your social media efforts. Trust me, you will come back to this over and over again.

We are constantly updating this to make sure it contains only the latest and most accurate social media dimensions, so subscribe to our blog to ensure you keep up to date on the latest. Also, if you have any suggestions that would make this guide better, please leave your suggestions in the comments.

Hi Jeff, This is such a helpful graphic! Thank you for creating it! I have a question about the Google+ profile image size though. When I measure the image on my computer screen it is showing at 100 x 100px, not 270px. Is the 270 x 270 px a suggested upload size? I also had the same question about Twitter that Thomas asked above if you wouldn't mind clarifying that as well. Thanks so much!
